Nicaragua FT Jinotega Tierra Madre SHG EP is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Asociación Aldea Global Jinotega (Aldea Global), an organization operating in the department of Jinotega, Nicaragua.  Aldea Global has more than 500 members and 47 percent are women, the result of investing revenues in gender equality programs focused on healthcare and small business lending. Tierra Madre coffee is produced exclusively from women and premiums are being used to help women obtain legal title to their land and fund small business loans to promote income diversification.

Nicaragua FTO Madriz 5 de Junio is sourced from family-owned farms organized around Cooperativa de Servicios Múltiples 5 de Junio RL, a cooperative operating in the municipality of Las Sabanas within the departments of Madriz, Nicaragua. The cooperative has 127 members who, on average, cultivate 5 acres of coffee. The cooperative strives to access the international coffee markets to give small producers a greater earning capacity from direct trade relationships. In addition to coffee, the cooperative has established income diversification programs including the cultivation of organic chia.
